On arrival, all climbers/responsible persons must report to the Adrenaline reception.
Climbers must arrive at the centre no later than 20 minutes before their climb is due to start. For example: If you are booked on to the 11am session you will need to arrive at 10:40am to complete your permission forms. The briefing will start at 10:45am and climbing will begin 11am-12pm
Late arrival will result in refusal of entry into the climbing wall until another session becomes available.
Prior to each climbing session, you will be required to take part in an induction session for health and safety purposes.
The briefing will take place 15 minutes before the start of your session. Any person failing to complete an induction session must not use the climbing walls.
In this session, you will be provided with your safety harness and instructed on how to use the climbing walls correctly. Failure to attend the induction due to late arrival or for any other reason will result in the climber’s scheduled time slot being postponed until the next available time slot.
Any adult accompanying a child under the age of 13 must attend the briefing session
Each participant will be required to complete a waiver/permission form – Any climber under the age of 13 a responsible adult must sign this form.
It is a requirement that climbers wear comfortable clothing and suitable shoes (trainers preferably) no open toe shoes are allowed. Climbers must check that their shoes are clean before entering the climbing arena to avoid spreading dirt across the walls. Bare foot climbing will not be allowed. There must be no jewellery, watches, keys or mobile phones worn or carried whilst climbing. We will require you to completely empty all pockets. Lockers are provided at reception or in the climbing area to keep belongings safe but it is recommended to leave valuable items at home. Long hair should be tied back to avoid risk of entanglement.
You should not wear jumpers with hoods and we recommend wearing long trousers to avoid scrapes and scratches to your legs on some of the slightly rougher surfaces. No climbing shoes or personal harnesses are needed.
Our climbing sessions last for a total of 75 minutes including a safety briefing. Once you have registered at reception you will be directed to the briefing area where a 15-minute health and safety induction will be conducted along with harness fittings and checks.
When the climbers and instructors are ready the climbing begins and you will have one hour on the climbing apparatus!
We take special measures to ensure the safety and well-being of our customers starting with our 20+ instructors who are highly trained in aspects of climbing and first aid.
We have a state of the art auto belay system offering a smooth vertical descent from the walls. We also have harnesses to fit all.
The Leap of Faith is one of the specialist activities at Grip and Go. The Leap of Faith involved climbing up our crane, standing on a platform several metres up in the air and jumping to catch our target bag dangling from the end of the crane. If you want to take on the Leap of Faith, you will need to purchase your Leap of Faith token before the session starts. During the session, the Leap of Faith will be available and you will need to present this token to the instructor who will then prepare you for your jump.
