Here's some benefits regular exercise could have on your mental wellbeing:
1. Routine
Having something to do/somewhere to go regularly creates a healthy routine for your brain.
You don't have to stick to the routine to a T, but knowing it is there for you if you need it, and praising yourself when you do go, is important.
2. Relief
Exercise is a proven stress-relief, and it can also help with feelings of low-mood, ADHD, anxiety, and others!
Having that place to go to escape the 'everyday' can really work wonders for your overall wellbeing.
You're taking that small amount of time out of your day to focus on you and only you!
3. Rest
Working out is a great way to get a better nights' sleep. Participating in regular exercise can also encourage you to pay attention to what you eat; meaning that you'll want to eat better and, in turn, will feel better!
4. Reassurance
Here at Rossendale Leisure Trust, we want to make everyone feel welcome and confident in our facilities.
And so, if you find yourself feeling anxious about joining with us, get in contact with us to arrange a show-around of our facilities with one of our staff members. Or you can book a PT sessions with one of our fully-trained Trainers to help you learn how to confidently use the kit and work out effectively.
