How It Works
- Collect Your Bike & Helmet
Head over to the Rossendale Bike Hub, located at:
Rossendale Haslingden Old Rd, Rawtenstall, BB4 8RR
We’ll set your child up with a balance bike and helmet – all completely free. - Ride and Explore
Take the bike out for a couple of hours and let the adventure begin.
Why not try Whitaker Park, just across the road, is an ideal spot for young children to practice their balance and coordination. With wide, smooth paths, open green space, and a play area, it’s a safe and exciting space to ride, run, and have fun. - Return the Bike After Your Ride
When you’re done, just bring the bike back to the Bike Hub.
Feel free to stay for a chat – The team are always happy to share local cycling events, family-friendly activities, and friendly advice on helping your little one gain confidence on two wheels.
Opening Times
The Rossendale Bike Hub is open from 10am to 3pm, Tuesday to Saturday.

Who Can Take Part?
This scheme is open to children aged 2 to 5 years.
If your child can confidently walk and run, they’re ready to ride.
All bikes and helmets are provided by Newground Together.
No booking required – just turn up, ride, and enjoy.
