Community health and wellbeing is at the heart of the free tai chi in the park sessions organised every summer by Lighthouse instructors Helena and David. This year’s events in Rossendale will be held in Whitaker Park, Rawtenstall, on Thursday 27th and Sunday 30th June at 1.30pm.

On Thursday 27th June there will also be a performance by Rossendale Ladies Choir to set the tone for boosting the energy levels and bringing people together in harmony. Helena, a former classical singer says, “I love both singing and tai chi and cannot think of a better way to feel good and lift my spirits than to experience both in the fabulous setting of Whitaker Park.”

Everyone is welcome to join in without booking or registering, and to try tai chi for free. You can do as much or as little as you want. Families are welcome. The events will happen rain or shine, so come prepared for British Summer weather.

The Marsden Building Soceity have also provided some free goodie bags for the first 20 people to attend.

This is the 5th year the event has taken place in Rossendale. It is free to attend, and donations are requested to help provide more free sessions next year.
