Please note all swimmers under the age of 8 years must be accompanied in the water with a responsible adult aged 16 years and over.
There is no need to pre book your swimming session, just turn up at any time during the session to access the changing facilities and dive straight in!
Rossendale Swim Timetables
Rossendale is home to Marl Pits Leisure Centre which holds two swimming pools. A main pool and a small pool. With a Rossendale Leisure Trust Membership, you gain access to unlimited swimming. From lane swimming to adults-only, public swimming sessions and inflatable fun sessions, we have something for everyone to try.

Swimming Ticket - 12 swims for the price of 10
If you enjoy swimming at our sites often we offer a discounted ticket for multiple swims. The Swim Ticket allows you 12 swims for the price of 10! Just ask at Reception next time you are in and you can purchase the ticket before you swim.

Early Morning Lane Swim
The pool at Marl Pits is split into 3 lanes: fast, medium, slow/medium lane, pick the best lane for your ability, and build up those lengths at your own pace.
Senior Swim
For age 50+ enjoy a leisurely swim in our open pool to use lengths or widths of the pool at your own pace.
Public Swim
Open session for anyone wanting to come and have a casual swim or a splash around with their family. For pay as your go swimming prices please click here.
Toddler Swim
The toddler swim is a drop in swim for parents/guardians and under 5 years to come and have a splash around. They can bring their own bath toys along to play with.
Mats & Balls
Family fun session including the large mats and soft balls.
Splash & Slide
Family fun session with the inflatable obstacle course, all swimmers using the inflatable must be able to swim 25m or be accompanied by an adult, the inflatable is situated in deep water, Mats and Balls will be in the shallow end.
Aquafit
Aerobics in the pool, using the waters resistance to get a full body work out, work to your own fitness level and suitable for all abilities.
Child admission policy
A responsible adult should accompany all children under the age of 8. The adult must go into the water with the children they are accompanying and maintain a constant watch over the children for whom they are responsible. The maximum number of children under the age of 8 that can be supervised by one adult is two. A responsible adult must accompany children aged 3 years and under on a one-to-one basis. The sole exception to this is if both children are wearing armbands or other approved buoyancy aids.
