At Rossendale Leisure Trust, we provide swimming lessons for babies, children, and adults at Marl Pits Leisure Centre. Our Swim Academy follows the STA International Learn to Swim Programme (ILSP), offering high-quality lessons for all ages and abilities.

Adults & Child Swimming Lessons in Rossendale
For babies and young children from 4 months – 3years these classes are designed to build water confidence through play. The child is accompanied in the water by a parent/guardian alongside a fully qualified STA teacher. These lessons follow the Star Fish Awards.
Monday & Wednesday: 9:30am-11:00am & Thursday 1:00pm-2:30pm

These are suitable for children/adults of all abilities from beginner to advanced who are looking to build more confidence, develop strokes or work on something more specific.

Once the swimmer has developed the core range of skills required to be confident, competent, and safe in water, they may have the choice to participate in different aquatic disciplines. On offer at our Rossendale’s swimming pool is the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. You can find out more about the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification by clicking here.
We host a special needs swimming club, Rossendale Rays at our Marl Pits Pool. The club offers swimming sessions for all ages and all special need, in addition to family members, friends, and carers.
