We’re thrilled to share the exciting news that Marl Pits Leisure Centre will be benefiting from some swimming pool improvements! Thanks to £290,000 of funding from Sport England, a new air handling unit (AHU) will be installed. This will improve air quality, reduce chlorine and damp smells, and ensure more consistent, comfortable temperatures, making your swimming experience even better all year round.
To allow for the installation of the air handling unit, both pools will, unfortunately, be closed from Monday 10th March to Sunday 23rd March 2025. While the pool is temporarily unavailable, we’d like to remind you that our gyms (Adrenaline, Marl Pits & Pioneer gym) and fitness classes will still be available for you to enjoy during this time.
We’re excited about the positive changes this will bring, not only for your swimming experience but also for our environmental footprint.
