We’re pleased to share details of an exciting local event brought to you by our friends at Rossendale Triathlon Club – the Rossendale Triathlon, returning on 10 May 2026.
Now in its 18th year, this well-established event has built a strong reputation as one of the most enjoyable and best-value triathlons in the region. Organised by passionate local triathletes, it has been carefully designed to be welcoming and suitable for all abilities, from first-time participants through to experienced athletes.
Event Overview
Participants will begin their challenge with a 400m pool swim in the fantastic setting of Marl Pits Leisure Centre, Rawtenstall, located in the heart of the Lancashire Pennines.
From there, athletes will take on a 21km scenic but undulating bike route, including the well-known Crown Point Roller Coaster, before enjoying a fast 9km descent back into Rossendale.
The event finishes with a 5km multi-terrain run, combining trail and road sections, and ending with a memorable finish line atmosphere supported by cheering crowds.

Please note that spaces are strictly limited to 150 athletes. Once capacity is reached, entries will close—so early registration is strongly advised.
